The Homeplace on Central has many sitting rooms with comfortable seating for reading, visiting or watching television. Books, magazines and current newspapers, local and out of town as desired, are available to all residents. Crossword puzzles, word searches, Sudoku and adult coloring books are also available and encouraged to assist with memory and relaxation. Computers and instruction are available to those that wish to learn and utilize computers for online searches, games and communication. WiFi and cable are standard.
Games, such as cards, bingo and board games are provided. Planned game nights with all residents and visitors invited, are on the calendar monthly. Arts and crafts, sewing, painting, wood working, model building and other activities are available at all times, assisted and scheduled for residents.
Local outings, such as movies, plays, massages, library visits, exercise classes, sports games and volunteer activities are scheduled as the opportunity arises. Short day trips to other communities for activities are scheduled as residents desire. Exercise classes, including yoga, walking, and overall strengthening and stretching are offered and encouraged.
